Bedside lights controlled with 2 x 2gang switchs

Nothing wrong with flex for permanent wiring/

Whether attached to a headboard is permanent wiring ...

You could do what I was thinking of which is to recess accessory boxes into the headboard and use flexible cable to supply/ link them, restrained by compression glands attached to the boxes.

Hi, sorry is that not the point in having a dimmer ?

Regards,

DS

I probably shouldnt have assumed but I saw a few manufacturers quote minimum loads like these and thought that must be across the board... These are min 10w

https://ledlam.co.uk/shop/varilight-v-pro-dimmer-switch-push-on-off-1-gang-brushed-steel

If the varilight ones don't have that minimum that might be a good shout, although they are quite bulky at the back.

In my case they won't be classed as permanent as the boards can be "unhooked" and removed from the wall, the lights are fixed to the boards and the wiring is in the channel in a low amp 3 pin plug.

After looking at screwfix's site, the varilights still have a minimum 10w load on them although someone in the reviews on one suggests he has run a 8w led on the dimmer.

Has any one run smaller wattage LEDs on these dimmers at all?

Cheers
