Belfast sink doesn’t fit - any advice?

A towel would hang down across the cupboard door below.

I wouldn't actually hang a towel from it, it's just a trick to distract the brain. Those sinks are supposed to finish flush with the adjacent doors and everyone can clearly see there's something's wrong because it's set back. Something to make it look like it's supposed to do that is what's needed.

We’ve managed to pull the sink forward more with the help of a carpenter and some changes to the cabinetry. Not perfect, but much better (I hope/ think).

Really appreciate all the suggestions.

Any final ones on how to further improve where we’ve landed would be much appreciated.

Unfortunately that’s too deep. We only have 200mm of depth, which has caused a lot of the challenges. The sink we bought was technically the same size as the previous one, but as it’s curved not squared off it hasn’t fitted properly. Ideally I need something that’s 600mm (or 595mm) x 530mm x 200mm.

Annoyingly I’m not sure it exists

Why does the platform, that the sink sits on, project so far in front of the cabinet line. I think things would (or might) look a little better if the platform was recessed slightly behind the line of the cabinets. I'd also suggest you get your cabinet maker to manufactire some filler pieces to close off the gaps at the sink sides. However if you do that you should have the ability to periodically remove them to clean out the gunge that will inevitably collect in the gap

The fact it's flush to the cabinets makes it look absolutely fine IMHO. Only you will know this wasn't the intended final fit, and if you can live with that it's all that matters!

The curved gaps where the sink meets the worktop stand out and makes it look unfinished. I would make up a panel across the front and colour match it with the units. It could project like the original sink was meant to.
