I am replacing a knackered old wood door with a new hardwood door.

The door currently rests on the concrete step. So there is no door threshold.

What is the better product to use when i fit this new door?

Do you go for a hardwood threshold or would you use the aluminium ones with the rubber seals. Storm guard seem to make a few designs.

I've fitted a few thresholds over the years for family and friends, one or two have been Storm Guard or similar. To my knowledge they're all still doing the job.

avoid the wiping seal ones

make sure you get the correct type -they are either open in or open out
