Well.................and they are?
PS David, I hope you are taking on board my advice about uni ?
He already has grade "A" in maths and several other GCSE subjects even though he still has a year to go to the time when he should be taking them.
He must do "A" levels and go to uni and then he play about with boilers afterwards if he must. He should be clever enough to get a scholarship to Cambridge or Oxford. He might well be clever enough to study nuclear physics to PhD level. He could then be lucky enough to work on installation and testing of the next generation of nuclear power stations.
I have said that when he is 16 he can come out with me to a few boiler repairs. I am sure I could find a few jobs cleaning old KFs which would put him off liking boilers.
If he did start an apprenticeship he would be telling all the time served people what they should be doing after the first week!

I'm doing my GCSE's like most people around my age would nowadays. You start in Year 10 and complete them all in Year 11 when your 15-16. Most of the exams are modular rather than one big test at the end e.g you study 3 Maths modules, take a test at the end of each module, once all modules are complete you will have one full GCSE. I have done Module 1 (18%), Module 3 (23%) and I'm still studying the final Module which accounts for 59% of my Maths GCSE.

Why should I do A-levels when I don't enjoy studying? I may have good results but I don't find any of the stuff I learn particularly interesting, I just believe in trying my best which is what I do.

Wouldn't go that far, easy now...

I would find that very boring indeed! Much rather do something I'm interested in rather than study for years in stuff that I'm not interested in at all just because you told me to!

I doubt I'd travel to London to come out on a few repairs with you
