Slightly late to the party here..

..but I thought my issue would be a one off. However I'm glad to know its not and thankfully I rent so I'm getting it sorted for me..but yeh, bloody big hole under my kitchen sink! Leaking antiquated stop tap and a nasty slug problem! Urgh!!
