They seem big on the social side, but they need to get a stream of Captains of Industry in to find out how the country can get more money, not just spend it.
Recession IS on the cards. Inflation is looming in the USA. Trump can't do what he's ranted about; it could all go belly-showing over there. We follow. The whole of Europe is in a pretty poor state. Investors are staying away, still looking at the USA in hope, and Japan/Philippines/Korea.

WHen I was a boss I had a cartoon/poster on the wall which had a gorilla saying "What did you do today that was good?". Everyone knew, so I could ask "Hey Pete, what have got for the gorilla?". "Hey Keir me ol mate, what have you got....... "

Yes of course. Lots and lots of firms are delaying investment decisions and closing open roles. Most knew labour would be bad for business but the feeling is the budget forecast wont be met so they will be back for more.

A drop in growth from 0.5 to 0.1% over one quarter might be an indicator to most normal people.
