Blocked pipe?

i should add they are not meant to used for this purpose they are for threading cables through blind spots so be careful but they have worked for me a few times on different problems

if you do try it keep the pipe wet after you isolate it, i.e. dont let it dry out as the gunk will get harder to shift, you can try a whole host of stuff I left drain cleaner in mine, I'm not recommending it though but it did free it up a bit, just make sure you flush it fully before reconnecting.... and the best of luck to you :)

Well as it turned out the pipe was 10mm so ID about 7mm. I got some 3.2 mm wire rope and tried to push that through. Unfortunately on both flow and return the cable goes in about 600mm and then stops dead, feels like it hits an elbow! I'd have thought they would've run an unjointed length of pipe straight through but no such luck. It does seem like it is the flow that has got bunged up, so unless someone knows of something I can use to dissolve the gunk its definitely time to get me shovel out.
