Ok,
The PCB was a recon from cetltd.com and my thinking behind buying this rather than a new one was:
1, If it was not the problem then it was only £50
2, If these boards are so prone to breaking down then a new one may only last a year (cetltd give a years warranty ) .
3, Although a recon is not recommended I have not found on this site anyone who has had a problem with them.
4, I'm a bit of a tight git and I ain't gonna spend when it 's not required.
