Boiler fitted in Fireplace

It depends on the output of the boiler, that might be sufficient or you might need a bigger one, but either way you should now turn the boiler off and not use it again until you have the correct ventilation as you are at a high risk of CO poisoning with no ventilation

Post the make and model of the boiler and we'll be able to advise on the correct vent size

May be better to put a photo on here as you could have an unsafe installation ! What is in front of boiler ? has a gas fire been removed ? at the moment without any permanent ventilation it is classed (AR) At Risk and should not be used, their should be a data plate on boiler with make and size of boiler if you can take a photo of this or better still book an appointment for a gas engineer to call asap.

Its a Glow worm, no fire in front see pictures

A Baxi 552 has an input of 21.2Kw. Probably the biggest (Baxi) fire input is 5.74, so the vent size required would be 100cm2. But. OP, post a pic and details, and you will get a specific answer

The Rytons vent has a shrouded inner vent, distributing the draught, and may be more comfortable:

EDIT: Our posts crossed.

Wow. That's a bit novel.
That panel is not suitable to be in front of the boiler.
Has the boiler been serviced ever?
I would have someone in to check it out

I it a Baxi inside the Glow worm boiler casing?

No, I was posting the Baxi comment when you posted yours, so I had not seen it was a wall mounted Glow worm. I wrongly assumed you had a back boiler (as did others), and the Baxi was just an illustration of the required ventilation.
The openings on the panel you have fitted are too small, as far as I can see.

Ok Cheers we had it serviced a while ago by British Gas and they didn't comment about the grill also have a Carbon Monoxide Sensor on mantel piece above never gave a alarm

Are you sure about this statement ???

It is difficult to see the grille (so I may be wrong), but a ventilator requires an opening no smaller than that which would allow the passage of a 6mm ball which is why fly screens are not allowed.
Is there any other gaps through which air can pass to the boiler?

I will check but British Gas did not comment on the size of the holes in the grill when they serviced the boiler
Get the permanent ventilation correct first :!:

Have a look around the room where the boiler is installed, there could be an air brick already fitted when the property was built and it could be :cautious: (with inspection, measurements etc) be suitable for the boiler.
