Thanks for your reply Stumpy.................do you think air in those 2 pipes about 6 inches in length sticking up from the main CH pipes with those 2 x screw caps on are the cause of my poroblems?????????
They are at the highest point (or should be !!!) and you dont know how much air is trapped, go on try it its not that big a deal, if their stiff i use pump pliers (not being patronising but remember its anti-clockwise and you only need about half a turn)
Thanks again Stumy.................and no ya not patronising...........all the advice is warmly welcomed.................................as I am getting some air out of all the rads every hr on the hr...........will this not solve the problem anyway by continuing to carry out this method or do these 2 x release screws need to be done anyway come what may to solve the prob (e.g. air release from the rads will not solve it full stop)..............and will / should there be a lot of air coming out of them when released??
Turn off your heating, pump etc start bleeding the lowest radiator first and work up to the highest rad then the vents. This will get most of the air out. Bleed again in a few days, if you've used a good inhibitor all should be ok.
Thanks once again Stumpy.............as i live in a bungalow and therefore all rads are on the same level I will work from the furthest away the boiler and come back to the nearest to the boiler ....................will that be correct or should I work in reverse of that
Done valves both upstairs and downstairs but hardly any air come out..............do you think its advisable to drain the whole sysytem down again and restart..............advice please anyone
