i removed radiator from bathroom a few weeks ago while decorating,

fitted new towel radiator today, now i have no hot water or heating as boiler shuts down after 1-2 minutes

any suggestions please, i think it may be a air lock

thanks

1)Is there water in the small F&E tank mate?

2)HAve you turned the cold feed from the tank to your system off by mistake?

3) Did you get water out of the towel rail when you vented it?

4) If you drained, did youturn the time clock off? may have burnt the pump out

Sounds like your cold feed may be blocked or the pump valves have snapped (if you shut them)

1 I take it you mean small header tank that feeds boiler? and yes it's full.
2 No I haven't touched this.
3 yes water from towel rail when bled
4 system all off, only on when tried to check radiators for heat after installing towel radiator.

Thanks alot mate.

Is the pump in the airing cupboard? When you turn Ch on, does the pipework at the pump get hot, before and then as far as you can feel after it?

Is the spindle in the middle of the pump spinning?

You should have water at the spindle.(pump vent)

Is the towel rail the highest point on the system? Or is there another floor?

Does the small tank run if you vent say half bucket water through an air vent or drain off cock?

Is the 3 port or 2 purt valve opening\

As said either airlock, cold feed blocked or pump knackered.
