Could be , but we're addressing a DIY job. ie functional even if not exact.
If the "right" device is required then it's a case of going and buying a replacement battery pack from the OEM, since they will accept no responsibility for consequential damage or loss if you buy from Joe Blogs or rebuild your own.
This thing is well out of warranty so a DiY repair is not going to be an issue.
Just wondered if the charger was 'fussy' about the batteries it would be expected to charge if i did use the uprated cells.
I don't know if the charger is set up specifically to cope with 12v @ 2.6Ah or if it's a case of - "Ill give you 12v until such a time as the battery tells me it's full"
