This board has helped me fix our Bosch a couple of times, notably including replacing a relay on the PCB.

Now something more basic has happened: no mains. It's plugged into a known ok outlet.

From what I can see main suspects are usually the inlet - mains suppressor maybe? - the mains switch, or the board.

The mains inlet is a proprietary connection, based around a white plastic plate which I can't remove.

1: Managed to remove inlet. A bit of a faff but turns out it need levering directly upwards. But there's no mains suppressor I can see. assuming there wasn't one fitted and that's therefore not a possibility. Is that correct?

2: Now I will open up and see if I have 240V into the switch. TIA for any other suggestions.

When I first posted I was asking for suggestions how to remove the inlet plate, I've sorted but I'm leaving the thread as I have a feeling there will be another barrier around the corner.

Good question, fuse was ok but I fitted new one anyway.

Removed front panel. Now going to test with multimeter whether I have mains in. Just googling to see if I can ID the right wires from the jumble. Otherwise I'll start with brown I guess.

Breaded bin was moved which pushed the fuse spur switch causing no power to the dishwasher.
£600 on a new dishwasher but that didn't work.
Electrician called and flicked switch behind bread bin and bingo.

Yeah. Always check you got power.

OK. I have a good 250V at the fat brown wire. It's getting dark now. I'll mull over whether I can find the power downstream of the switch to check if the switch is the problem, or whether to simply buy a switch and go from there.

The controller? Quite likely. But if so they've been unavailable for 8 years. I've ordered a s/h switch.

Update. No it's wasn't the switch.

Since then I found the thread below. Before I buy a new dishwasher I will replace the IC and resistor.

I assumed it did have, Deridere had the same model as me, and luckily it has.

Can't see any damage to the IC. The 100 Ohm resistor is open circuit. So I'll try swapping both and see what happens.

I can see burns under the board, underneath the relay nearest the resistor. I happen to have two of those from when I replaced one 7 years ago. I think I'll replace the left hand one just in case.

There are other areas that look dodgy near the object that looks a little like a choke/inductor but I think i'll try the usual suspects and see what happens.

So... fitted the resistor and controller. But right at the last moment dislodged the tiny surface-mount resistor marked '2211' nearby.

Thought it was game over but sent a photo to the fella linked below on eBay who repairs modules who said he'd have a go. Seven days after I sent it off, was told it was all fixed. Replaced the board once I got it - and everything's been working perfecty for 10 days now. So definitely an option if you're worried about the soldering, and £45 isn't a bad price to get a tested and working board back.
