Hi,

We've got a brick fireplace which was covered with plasterboard. In removing the plasterboard we've ended up with some chisel / scoring marks on the bricks in a few places.

I wonder if anyone has any experience with treating / repairing bricks to try and un-do the damage that I've done? I'm not concerned about the slight dents in the bricks, just the discolouration.

Pictures attached. Thanks very much for any thoughts.

i would try wetting them with a cloth and that may give you an idea what a clear surface treatment would do
