British Ski Workers can piste off

What quitters just don't get is that the opportunities for young people in the UK to get a temporary job in Europe will dry up, and they will miss out on being able to experience life/varied lifestyles in a different country/countries...
There’s roughly 195 countries in the world at the moment and you’re worrying about just 27 of them. Anyone would think that you consider Europe the be all and end all of everything. I spent over a year working abroad and it wasn’t in Europe. This might encourage young people in the UK to broaden their horizons and actually travel instead of just popping next door.

So tell us then...

Did you need a work visa to work abroad officially outside of the EU/EEA?

You know, you're showing your age. You can't even spell it

Do you need a grandkid to log you in to DiyNot perchance?
More Irony that the average kid these days cannot spell and just uses text speak!!!!Not doing too good on the wannaby smartazz front are you?!

Of course I did. I went there to work, not play like the average 24 year old these days that has yet to start work. If it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing properly.

You need to seriously up your insults game on here if ""grandad"" is the best you can do!!!...

Unlike yourself, I'm not here to insult. You're an old man and behave as such - it's a statement not an insult.

It matters not how much I wish you'd take your head out of the 50's and join the modern world, you'll still be old fashioned.

Ah, so you recognise that freedom to travel and work within the EU will be curtailed for UK citizens...

And that you believe that work is the 'be all and end all', and that fun and life enhancing experiences are irrelevant!

I've done casual work in many European countries to fund my travels without the need of visas, and have gained an insight into other cultures and other ways of thinking...

Sadly you and your ilk wish to condemn future generations in this country to xenophobia, isolationalism and ignorance!

I’m pretty sure if there’s a genuine need for workers in one EU country, they’ll find a way for it to happen. Even European fruit pickers over here.

I honestly don’t know any 'yoofs' that have gone to Europe for work, fun or life changing experiences. You can go to most places in Europe for less than fifty quid anyway. All the ones I know have all gone to the USA, South America, China, Australia and New Zealand.
