Hi guys and Happy New Year to you all!
I was indeed in Stepping Hill and fortunately did not meet Bev Allitt or Fred Shipman. But when I was self-employed, I worked for two GP's who worked with him and when he came back to the surgery to get yet another Death Cert counter-signed, they used to joke with him, "What are you doing Fred, bumping them off or what.....?"
Little did they know...
Then one of them got suspicious and contacted the BMA and the GMC who started investigations. Sadly she did not live to see the outcome of the case as she contracted terminal cancer.
Anyhow back on topic.
I was in SHH for 8 weeks, I didn't get out for Christmas and was doing my nut by the time I got let out, not least because the non-emergency ambulance service is run by a completely incompetent bus company.
In their wisdom, the Trust decided to award the service to the company with the lowest tender.
The result is they are late all the time cannot handle the workload and the end result to the NHS is the money saved with the left hand is doled out with the right to pay to keep patients in hospital for extra days because a tinpot bus company cannot do their job properly.
Are they taken to task? Do they pay a penalty? Don't make me laugh!!
After I got home I had a couple of days pain then things got markedly better. Unfortunately since then, I have got a pin site infection ad despite painkillers and antibiotics, the nagging pain refuses to subside. Doesn't bode well.
I really don't want to go back in but if needs must, in I'll have to go...
