I moved to current address in 99. BT lines underground. We asked BT to install 3 lines, two business and one res. There was only 1 pair cable, so I asked them to survey before the install date so they could do the necessary ground work before the lines were installed, so there was business continuity.

Did they do that? Did they bu**ery!

They called on the date of installation, a bloke looked at the 1 pair cable and said, "You'll never get three lines out of this!" and pi**ed off.....

29 days later, we got our service. For that 28 days, we got:

£50 a day compensation for each of the business lines

£15 a day comp for the res line.

Free redirection to mobiles of our choice.

And that's cheaper than sending a guy out to reccy the job first?

Now you know where our line rental goes.....
