I would never skimp on either tyres or brakes, most important parts of the car safety wise.

Me too!

When I chose a new car for my lad, I got new Cross Climate 2 tyres fitted all round. Then when it was MoTd and the brakes were a bit dodge, we had the whole lot done, discs and pads all round.
