Very good ! I read an article by a professor wherein he was making the point there is clearly evidence on both sides that people have considered the Brexit issue and come to their own concluson's. Neither side is thick or stupid but both have considered the issue and come to their own conclusion .

I have to confess a little dissapointment that his conclusions didn't show remainers were ignorant thick twerps but intellectually the equals as those colourfull Brexiteers hero types but there we have it. I have to admit in notches and knowsnowt case I find that hard to believe especially knowsnowt as his posts are a little
lacking in the repartee department.

Your showing a little ignorance about the Dardanells campaign, Churchills plan for the assault was watered down by higher echelons so it wasn't backed up by the naval and military strength that he'd planned for. You might need to read a book on it to get the full picture not sure if that picture is painted on the net with facts to support it.

Probably because I also had a bit of australian education, not just the english one - which blanked out that campaign almost completely!

It always makes sense to not just swallow what you are fed locally
