The builder has constructed the external wall without a drip bead. The roof above the wall is flat with a 50cm overhang. Would this be acceptable for building control, or is a drip bead required?
Drip beads are not subject to building regulations, but they would be expected under your contract with the builder.
Lack of any suitable drip, or other way of dealing with rain run off will often result in damage to the wall and render in the future. And clued up surveyors pick this up at sale time.
