I have to build in an electric meter box that currently exists in a pvc panel in bottom half of sidelight in a porch
The box will be built in and is already connected up and has been for years
This is all part of a porch extension.
My worry is that there is only 100mm between box and door frame one side and 100 mm between box and party wall on the other side
I am concerned that the 100mm bearing on either side supporting the 1 mtr high of blockwork above ( i intend fitting a lintel) may leading to cracking out at a later stage due to door being hinged on that side
Any advice Pls Folks
