A vary bad idea I believe, this will upset all Muslims not just the militants. The repercussions could have serious international consequences.

But out of interest, what would happen if this was being proposed in the UK, would the police become involved?

What if it was bibles being burned, would it even make the news?

The UAE aint too happy about it either. You abide by their rules... END OF.
Such a shame we dont carry out the same discipline in the UK.

There are a number of Catholic churches in the UAE. Between them I believe (just a guess ) they have hundreds of bibles.

When I worked out there, we had clubs that served alcohol as well.

It is unfortunate that this guy is getting any attention.

He obviously doesn't see there irony, that he being beligerant, but claims to be spreading a message of peace.

He also protested alongside the Westbro baptist church in relation to gays if that is not a conflict of interests don't know what is. One church pickets the funeral of American soldiers. The other claims to be defending them, by burning Qurans. Westbro actually thinks that the situation in the middle east is gods will.
