Burning The Koran

A vary bad idea I believe, this will upset all Muslims not just the militants. The repercussions could have serious international consequences.

But out of interest, what would happen if this was being proposed in the UK, would the police become involved?

What if it was bibles being burned, would it even make the news?

Who cares? So, some dude wants to burn books on the 9th of November. Leave him and his clan to it - he's having a belated bonfire party.

It wouldn't be permitted, at least not for very long, before whoever was responsible was arrested for a hate crime. I can understand his reasons behind this 'protest' , its just his methods that are disconcerting.

So your guessing? Its as bad as assuming. AFAIK, you can burn what you like, when you like.

The Koran (to me) is about as good a read as the Daily Mail. I'd happily burn that if I bought a copy.

What's the issue with the Daily Mail ??? I read it, and am quite capable of filtering out the over dramatised from the real news.

Did you know that your not allowed to take bibles in your luggage or on your person, if your going to Saudi Arabia??
If the Saudi customs officers find one on you or in your luggage, it will be torn up in front of you.
So much for religious tolerance then. ;) ;) ;) ;)

The UAE aint too happy about it either. You abide by their rules... END OF.
:D Such a shame we dont carry out the same discipline in the UK.

There are a number of Catholic churches in the UAE. Between them I believe (just a guess  ) they have hundreds of bibles.

When I worked out there, we had clubs that served alcohol as well.

Then think of the Daily Mail as a knife. You are a 14 year old law abiding boy scout who's keen on whittling

It is unfortunate that this guy is getting any attention.

He obviously doesn't see there irony, that he being beligerant, but claims to be spreading a message of peace.

He also protested alongside the Westbro baptist church in relation to gays if that is not a conflict of interests don't know what is. One church pickets the funeral of American soldiers. The other claims to be defending them, by burning Qurans. Westbro actually thinks that the situation in the middle east is gods will.
