Burying Pipes In Concrete Floor

Nothing wrong with pipes in a floor channel. But they should be insulated.
Ideally with armaflex.

except that it isn't a floor channel, this is what should have been used, it has a plywood lid & you floor straight over it

Thats only if you need access to the pipes ie hot and cold supplies, the ch pipes cann be buried in screed as long as there are no joints (except soldered joints)and protected from the concrete.

yep agree, however in the OP's case with a mix of plastic & copper it should be in a channel/duct & covering the pipes with foam is as ruff as a badgers a**e

No one would fit that channel stuff. Too expensive.
If you need access to hot and cold then a permanent cheap plastic duct where you can with draw the pipe if you want.

Expensive accessible ducts are not a lot of use when expensive wood flooring is laid or tiles.
That's when they suddenly become inaccessible.

not as expensive as ripping up the floor & replacing half the pipework because the concrete or foam has eaten through the pipes, or the expansion/contraction has worn the pipes away causing a leak,

yes pipe in pipe could have been used if there was somewhere for the connections/tees to have been located
