I once bought a clocked lemon because I fell into the trap of beautiful pictures and seeing the car at night.
By the time I realised the many issues the dealer had gone.
On the other hand, I sold a 40 year old vespa online, fully restored to the last detail.
This kid decided he wanted it without seeing it in person.
I said no.
He bothered me for 2 days, so I said to him that if he paid half plus £300 delivery I would've taken it there myself (200 miles away).
And so off I went, get there, massive detached house, 2 mercedes and a Chelsea tractor in the drive.
The kid comes out with his dad, looks at the vespa and says: "But this has got gears! I don't know how to drive it"
My answer: "what part of "4 manual gears" wasn't clear?"
The dad laughed and sent me on my way with an apology.
I made him wait 2 weeks for the deposit.
Never again.
