hi there all,

bought some spotlights/downlights from homebase (the type where there is no need for a transformer) and im going to rig 3 of them up to the terminal of my existing light. what thickness of cable do i need for the job ? the diy chop tried to sell me some quite thin stuff (will get back to you with exact width) but it didnt look thick enough to me .

thanking you in advance for your help,

marco

hi there,

ive just measured the width of the stuff he sold me ..it is 5 mm thick.... is this ok for the job or is he thick ?

..it is 5 mm thick....

I assume this is the outside measurment and is irrelevant.
You need the conductor size and this will be on the cable drum if you are inexperienced in judging sizes ;) [/quote]
