Cables under garden. Where are they ?

Make 2 L shaped pieces of wire from an old coat hanger, put the ends in some old biro handles and douse for it

The main problem with that is the increasing rarity of wire coat hangers....

I suspect its just run in plastic pipe and you will have to check the route and depth before you start digging and laying something else, if your not digging then if its already in ducting then I wouldnt worry at this stage, always usefull to have the info though.
