Cadent broke up concrete path next to house - any issues with the work?

Just received a letter from Cadent this morning stating they are going to replace all the gas pipes with plastic.
This is confusing because they replace them in December 2022.?

He did offer to have it replaced if I wanted to, but also suggested that I could let it completely dry first and decide if I was happy.

It's a popular myth that cement needs to "dry". It needs to set, which requires that it remains wet.

It's probably too late now, but if it did "dry" within those first few days then it will forever be very weak.
