Can’t fit pipe slice

I always assumed the pipe slices marketed as mini were for 10mm pipe?

Hard to see how they can get much smaller than they are.

Which will be way too big if the pipe is clip distance from the wall.
It's a good point, although I wonder the OP can perhaps unclip the pipe and get some slack? OP, upload a photo so we can give some more suggestions!

Yes usually when disconnected from the rad there will be enough play to cut the pipe depends if it comes through a wall and how far away.

Often have to use my pump pliers on my slice to rotate it round and cut a tight pipe but rarely do I need to use a junior... even chop a bit of plaster away if needed, then make good after!

what hope is there for rest of the job if the op doesnt even know how to cut a pipe

yeah your right best place to learn is flooding your own house over the xmas holidays , why wouldnt you
Well, ideally practice on someone else's house, but we all had to start somewhere:LOL:
Or even do some plumbing in the garage.

Well, ideally practice on someone else's house,

I think that's what some of the cowboy 'plumbers' are doing around here.

Anyway, yes, the multi-tool can be a bit of a sledge hammer to crack a nut. But I've used it successfully to cut 15mm copper pipe several times where it's the only tool that will fit. Secret is, reasonably good sharp blade - not one that has had lots of heavy use. And as already said - wedge the pipe so that it doesn't jump around as you cut. And take it SLOW.
