Can I trigger the a boiler from two sources?

I am planning an extension and a rework of the heating system.

The house currently has a combi boiler, radiators in every room with a Tado TRV system (which has worked really well for the last 5 years).

The proposed system will be a system boiler, water tank to support two bathrooms and underfloor heating downstairs.

Would it be possible to combine the UFH system with the Tado as I would like to keep the TRVs upstairs and have wall mounted thermostats downstairs?

Can a boiler request heat from two sources?

Or does anyone know of a system that would do everything I need? I am not wedded to Tado however one feature I really like is the geo fencing where by it will keep the heating at a low level whilst I am away from home.

Thanks.

Yes - it's would just become a multi zoned configuration, which is kind of is at the moment with the TADO controlled TRV's.

The UFH and Cylinder could trigger the boiler from their own controls through a wiring centre or wireless receiver.

If you wanted it all controlled by the TADO system, then it can be done but would require extra TADO connected smart controls and some extra wiring and depending on the version of TADO you have, it may need upgraded.

Thanks. Having it all controlled by Tado would make it easier as it is all controlled via one app.

I understand how the Tado TRVs work and that I would need wall thermostats for each zone. But what would actuate the actual valve to supply water to a specific rooms circuit?

Each rooms water supply is currently controlled by the TRV on each rooms rad, that acts as it's own thermostat and valve?

The UFH zone would then be controlled by it's own thermostat and that would then turn the zone valve to the UFH on and off (open and closed) as required. If it's traditional UFH - concreted thermal mass - then the ideal would be to have the UFH on all of the time and the temp controlled by it's own stat (pump and 2 port)).

The HW would have it's own thermostat that would control it's own 2 port too (through the TADO)

Hi, yes it will be concreted thermal mass with a ceramic tile on top.
Do you put a Tado TRV on each zone of the manifold?
I know you can set the Tado to have the measurement come from the wall stat and use the TRV to actuate the valve only for radiators.
Not sure if this is the same for UFH.
Additionally, it would be a nightmare keeping on top of the AA battery changes !

Edit: I just found this:

So it seems the Tado wired thermostat connects into the wiring centre and you can use non-Tado valves then for each UFH zone.
