Aside from the peddlers of so called 'professional' installed alarms name one other profession I have slated

their qualifications are not the issue its the pointless overpriced systems they install seemingly forced on some people by their insurance companies.......though I know no one who has this condition in their insurance

I have no problem with 'real' professionals builders, sparks, plumbers etc

I think a basic computer test should be passed, like a driving test, before people are allowed to use a computer, to access the internet, with an advanced form in netiquette. The number of times I've been called to fix a computer, when the only fault is it runs slow, because it is so clogged up with junk, and email sent, and never received, because the email address has spaces in it.

I got absolutely blasted the other day for pointing out to somone on FB, NOT to post naked pictures of their kids (babies) on the site, as pervs can view them. No no they can't went the cry...Well, you access games on FB, so have a public profile. So they can.

I don't understand though, how come I have 'notify me if email responded to', ticked, but it isn't working?

well we area professional engineers.

in regard to you comment about not knowing anyone who needs an alarm system because there insurance company says so, well mate you are so so so wrong.

why do you think we are doing the job in the first place, its because intruder alarms are required for certain individuals to obtain insurance cover in the first place,

you try opening a shop in your town and then telling your insurance company that you are not going to fit an alarm or CCTV because you think you are going to be ripped off,
then see how far the man/woman on the end of the phone laughs at you.

some clients DO NOT have A CHOICE of whether to have an alarm, its just WHO supplies and fits it.
and whether the company is a registered installer

so agin get you facts correct before you spout off, not that this post is going to make any difference to an uneducated bigot like your self is it.

You can tell by the number of locked threads or removed replies that DIYnot censors the idiots anyway so even if you get them onboard their brainless responses get removed and rightly so . .hear hear.

So we don't actually need an entrance exam.

i am a mod on another forum and there is a form off selection
people email asking how to make a post or failing the question to stop bots signing in questions like what colour is the sea and sky
so there is a level off people who cant join the forum because its to complicated
