B&O are pretty good but very expensive; but I believe there are only 3 (or so?) major screen manufacturers in the world so the chances are B&O use Phillips. The difference in cost mostly comes in the screen grading, jazzy casing, the quality of the electronics bolted into it & the facilities provided.
I have a 42” Hitachi, it’s nearly 3 years old now but the picture quality was one of the best available at the time & I have been pleased with the performance. One argument against spending too much is that, like computers, it’s a rapidly advancing technology; I paid in well over £2k for mine & you can now get a better one for around £900! You could try Googling for some of the magazine reviews as many have done side by side comparisons, then you can judge if the name is worth paying a high premium for!
