Can you walk off a job???

I agree (with the advice, not the "Agile baiting" on which I have no view ;)) ... Verbal contract disputes only have one real winner ... Lawyers!

Build bridges, agree a compromise position, get the work done, get rid of them, pay them and move on.

You'll save £'s in the end.

The trouble is if you use 2 or more plumbers if something goes wrong and a major leak occurs it will then get into an arguement who is responsible. So if possible sort your differences out

There was a job done near me that had 5 different plumbers on it and everyone walked off the job for various reasons on completion the last guy said he would not be responsible for turning on the water in the end the manager of the local plumbcentre who had made a good few bob supplying all the stuff turned it on.. couple of small leaks one major one and to this day 2 toilet still hot flush

Done it the other month on an extension . Thought i had marked them up correctly mate does the final connections and tests it followed by the smart ass comment "How much extra are these steam toilets". I say "#$@? did i not say" " No you didn`t" . Ten mins to alter as ceilings still had to go up .

forgotten more than you ever learnt especially if you worked for the gas board. hey what this with all the corgi logos on gasboard vans guessing they are finally comlying :p god i hope its up to normal standards and not gas board ones.?i.e is everyone going trough the same training an assesment.
or are the gasboard guys going through their own lets solder a cut down coupling on it, after all what could be the worst that could happen.

Don`t work for the gasboard so say what you want but you are showing your reading standards up they have had corgi signs on them for at least 8 years.. Never mind you will be up to joined up writing soon.

thats standard fare for this forum.

the OP posts his/her concerns.......all the usual suspects have a big barney about it and the OP is never seen again.

we might as well draw straws to see who will pretend to be the fake OP for a week and post up a few q's for everyone to argue about. :D

i have a boiler that makes a noise when it starts up. it didn't use to do that. what could be wrong with it?

how much would it cost to fix it??

just slightly more than a piece of string and less than a plank of wood

I bet it was serviced recently.

Did the engineer look in your general direction?

Was his toolbox open at any point?

If yes then he is really screwed. If no then you should have bought a proper boiler.

;) ;) ;)
