Cannot find peak reading on meter

Hi, I cannot work out how to get a peak reading from my electricity meter from a house I have recently moved into. The setup is shown below. The meter is a Landis+Gyr E110. The display cycles through two numbers - one shows a number currently around 13600, and the other shows the default test screen i.e. with all lights lit up, 8888888. However, the supplier requests two readings, and the final bill from the previous supplier has a peak and an off-peak reading on it. From comparing the number on the screen with the final bill from the old supplier, the number shown on the screen is the off-peak reading.

I cannot see how to get a peak reading. Is there a way to cycle through the peak/off-peak readings on this meter? I can't see any buttons. There are two lights on the meter. The manual for this meter is not helpful. Is it possible there is another meter somewhere else on the property with the peak reading? There are also two switches on the right but this is a Proteus AC228 100A isolator switch so I presume unrelated to the meter, and I haven't touched them.

Contacting the previous owners is a bit tricky so I thought I would post here first in case there is something obvious I am missing. Thanks!

If you watch the reading it should cycle through total, low and high, then repeat

Are you sure you have E7 ? As I’m not sure you do

Are you looking for peak rate/cheap rate (example for overnight storage heaters) or for the maximum demand (as required by some service changing web sites)?

No.
That is a single rate meter, the only reading is the one you have already got.
You do not have E7 or any other split rate arrangement - everything through that meter is on a single rate.

Check that the meter serial number (below the barcode on the front of the meter) matches the one that is on your electricity bill.

If it matches, then the supplier is in error and believes you have something that you do not.
If it doesn't match then either that is not your meter, or it has been changed and the supplier was not informed about the change.

It cycles between the two numbers you see in the photos: 13624 (at the time of the photo) and 88888.8.

Found the manual again and yes looks like 5235A is a single-rate meter, which is what this one is.

Right. Looks like I may have to contact the previous owners then. As a second number appears on the bill and it is from the same meter according to the bill.

Is it possible there is another meter somewhere else that records a peak reading?

Desperately unlikely.
Old E7 arrangements did have two separate meters, one for day rate and one for E7, but that is not the case here, as there would be another cable from the meter cabinet into your property. You only have one and from the red/black colours of it it's been there for several decades.

99% this is an error by the supplier, or they have been given the wrong metering info by someone in the past.

Right. Looks like I may have to contact the previous owners then.
No need.
You have a single rate meter, and need a single rate electricity tariff from whoever you choose as your supplier, starting with the reading displayed on that meter when you moved in.

Previous blunders are not your responsibility or concern.

On the basis of what we've been told and seen, I don't think we can be sure of that ...

The SIMPLE way to tell that is if there is a terminal for another wire in the bottom of the meter

then it will be a dual rate device, if no additional terminal then it will only be single rate.

That would certainly have been the case in the past. However, given the way in which dual-rate tariffs work these days, is it necessarily still the case that the meters offer a switched 'off-peak tariff' output?

This is getting very confused!

As I understand it, the new supplier is asking for two meter readings, and bills from the old supplier show two readings on bills that have the same meter serial number, despite the fact that it now appears that it's probably a single rate meter (and probably has been for a long time). Something's not right :)
