What lamps are you dimming, you have bought a dimmer with a 60w minimum load, nowadays with leds that may not be suitable

Ah, I didn't know it had a minimum load, only a max. Each of the lights has a 40w bulb in it. Do they both need to be 60w or more?

Hard to tell from your picture, is it in the instructions, worth trying a 60w to see if its more stable

Yes, fit 60w bulbs for now and replace the dimmer at a later date.
