This photo of a milk drop landing was taken before WW2

Photo of a Balloon popping. Date unknown, probably 1950's!

They were taken by Professor Harold Edgerton the pioneer of high speed photography.

The cat with the vase is suspect...look at the angles and the speed/shape of the water

I reckon thats been photoshopped

FFS, contribute to the thread or ignore it. If it has been doctored, that in itself just shows how clever some people are.

I thought I had 'contributed' or is 'contributing' only providing praise?...my 'contribution' was pointing out that the vase picture doesnt look like it was 'captured in a nanosecond'...its a good job people on here dont just ignore threads that they feel they have nothing to praise..what a dull place it would be.

And as soeone who dabbles in photo manipulation and restoration I take my hat off to whoever the 'photo' was down to..

As the the other pictures I thought they were magnificent...especially 1,2 and 6

Is that ok?

Here is one of my "Jeez, good thing I was filming!" moments.

(select the "HQ" version or you'll just see a smudge!)

My parents live in an area with a massive wild parakeet population, and as no-one outside of Surrey seems to believe these exotic birds are so common in the area I thought I'd film some to show the doubters back home.

I was stood 20 feet away at the time and had to rerun the video just to check what happened as I wasn't really sure what I'd just seen!

I challenge them to record me removing a 20 quid note from my wallet
