HI all, I've got an obsolete extractor (Premium Appliance Brand Cat no. HDG620SS) which is not vented to the outside The carbon filter is blocked and seemingly unavailable but there are a couple of screws which, when undone allow you to remove 3 gauze a one felt (carbon?) filter.
My question is can I use a cut to size sheet to repair it and, if so, which material/supplier should I use?
There ar 3 gauze filters one thin, one thicker and one is ridged. Can anyone steer me as to which order they should be installed. I think a previous repairer put them in in the wrong order.
Any ideas?

In the last photo, there are 4 sheets, one thick one which I think goes closest to the hob, one bumpy (ridged) one which I think goes in the middle, one thin one which I think comes next (inside, facing the motor) and one black one which I think is the carbon filter. I guess I could cut one of the sheets you suggest to size but whick one would be best and where should it sit? My guess would be between the ridged one and the thin (inside) one.

I don't know, I've only had hoods with the canister-type carbon filter, and a single grease filter.

The carbon filter goes after whatever other filters or grills there are.

You might be able to find manufacturer's instructions for a hood of your type.

I don't use recirculating hoods as I consider them useless.
