I have a CCTV EZ 960 Lite 4 CCTV home security system. Got error message that hard drive not detected and I'm assuming that means its broken. Wondering whether I should

1) Replace hard drive
or
2) Replace entire EZ 960 dvr unit
or
3) If unit no longer available, a similar dvr system that's compatible with my cameras.

Any help/advice appreciated.

Thanks

if it can not detect the HDD, how old is it and what size and type?

you can test by connecting it to a pc and see if it registers before committing to a replacment.

It's 9yrs old and one TB. Not sure of the make of the HDD as I've not opened up the DVR yet.

just replace it and should be good to go be aware some units are limited to max size they can take and it should be surveillance grade HDD
