Whenever I was asked for sleeving I always gave a couple of feet each of narrow and wide. But by the sounds of it you don't do free handouts.

Anyway it it really worth the effort when bunched together is an easy, and probably easier, solution and probably the most frequent method in the restricted space of a rose.

For a DIYer or somebody with no training I would always advise they are sleeved seperately, they can then be individually pull tested to ensure they are actually connected.
