Central heating not getting very warm

Right hand side hex cap facing you.

Drain below boiler level first.

You could use the boiler isolation valves and drain point, but I would advise against it.

Found the boiler drain off point, do I just open this until no more water comes out? Thanks

Have now removed what I thought was the cap for the filter but only found the above.

Consulting the manual pointed me in the direction of this large cap for the filter but I don't have the tools to get at it.

Therefore all I've been able to do is partially drain the system and refill it.

From the info I provided before, can you tell if the boiler is cycling? Thanks

You've taken off the front sealing cap where the optional filling loop connects. You need to unscrew the large hex just behind it...filter normally in side the isolating valve assembly.

Guys, I'm buzzing.

Got the filter out and it was horrendously dirty. Thought it had corroded it was that bad! Then when I could start to see it was silver underneath and not rust I thought we might be on to a winner.

Reassembled everything and the boiler is now operating like new! All rads are getting much warmer and I think I can look forward to a nice warm lounge again.

The pump must've been trying to operate at such a resistance I'm surprised it's survived.

I cannot thank you all enough!!!
