Central Heating Room Stat problem

Once the stat is turned up and down (off and on) the boiler works fine and the heating works. It just seems to require this off/on action to trigger the boiler I.e. the boiler doesn't seem to recognise that the stat is on when the programmer activates the circuit. It seems to need a 'burst' of power from the stat to get it going.

Are you sure there is not another m/v any where.
You need to trace what the Room stat is actually energising.

Is this a recent fault that's developed ?

Don't think there's another m/v. Will look into it again tomorrow as I'm busy today.

Been away for a couple of days.

System seems to have sorted itself since several on/offs of the stat. Can't explain it but who cares?
