i went to a house with a dripping mixer tap. The make of the tap was franke. The spout was dripping on the hot side. I removed the ceramic disc valve and set off for the local plumbers merchants. They sent me to a place that makes kitchens and this man fixed it for a fiver. He told me a new valve would cost £22 and would drip in a year and a half, but he could fix it that it would never drip again. i asked him to tell me how he did it but he wouldnt tell me. i would like to know what he did because i put it back in half expecting it to drip, but hey presto job done and dusted. Can anyone tell me or guess what he did apart from Paul Daniels.

Maybe be just put thick grease in it, in which case it'll drip in a week and a half??
