I understand Pedanticvindictiveman.

Stay clear of B&Q. I really meant to say my local plumber merchant... Ha Ha Ha.... because the do offer good advice unlike the tourist helper at B&Q, who should have known better than selling me the wrong stuff in the first place.... I curse those B&Q staff.

Kevplumb: Ok, but by buying a cartridge of fernox system restorer, does that mean I should not continue putting the stuff I bought on the weekend, (Kilrock CH Cleanser), or do you want me to put both in at the same time. I am getting confused...

Just one more thing... I got chatting to a so called know-it-all at work, and he suggested just buying new radiators. He said they were fairly reasonably priced. HE suggest to buy only 1, and to see what happens when the new one was in place. ---> This kind of made sense, but I thought I would put it to the EXPERTS on diynot.com first...

So what do you think of that idea? - Of course I am no Harry Opinheimer, nor do I have a money tree in the back, only a poor IT person who does web pages for a livin', so any suggestions would be more than welcomed.. :D

Very true, but I don't know if the system is fouled. Ok, so fernox can be injected into bleed valve... That is a step closer for me. I will definitely get some from the local plumbing centre. (not B&Q).

Thanks Kevplumb for your rapid reply.

Its a combi Kev.

Give me your address and I'll do it free as you don't seem to be getting anywhere

No tanks in the loft. I was in the loft on Sunday, and did not see anything up there other than a loft ladder, which was in pieces.

I have linked photos to this body.

As far as I can see, there is only a gas boiler http://www.lookatbowen.com/modules....ame=Gallery&file=index&include=view_photo.php in the kitchen on the wall, with a lot of pipes running underneath the boilerhttp://www.lookatbowen.com/modules....ame=Gallery&file=index&include=view_photo.php

Here is a photo of my radiator with bleeders, top right hand corner http://www.lookatbowen.com/modules....ame=Gallery&file=index&include=view_photo.php and a photo of the thermostat dial on the radiator http://www.lookatbowen.com/modules....ame=Gallery&file=index&include=view_photo.php

My apologies for the URL's but I couldn't get the
code to work. I don't understand what the (alt+p) means on the end of help for Insert an Image. Perhaps someone can enlighten me.

Bahco,

You are kidding right? :!:
How are you going to do that if you are in Italy?

The pictures of a box with an x are quite nice but not very relevant to your plumbing problem
I am willing to fly back at no expense to yourself ;)

What are you looking at? Where is that picture? Is it with the photos of the boiler and radiators...

I can't see what I posted.... (behind firewall)....

Kevplumb - What the hell are you doing in Iraq!, although I guess they have massive plumbing problems at the moment. Those lucky people with water.... :D

No, I'll stick to this site for help, and hopefully not wreck my floor with water damage. Ha Ha!!
