On my Champion Petrol Lawnmower, there is a small hole on the carburettor head (on the choke flap face) that passes through a rubber gasket and into a plastic channel on the air inlet assembly. It faces downwards and seems to be some sort of cheap and cheerful overflow pipe type thing.

Petrol is currently dripping out of this.

Anyone know why ??

punctured carburettor float, or, dirt in the valve.

Thanks.

Its only a few months old, so I'll try the old 'Take it back to Homebase' rather than fiddle with it.

Homebase are very good at replacing faulty lawn mowers, I bought a cheap mower from them and the recoil starter broke, they will either replaced it FOC, give you your money back or let you buy a better mower. They even gave me a me bottle of engine oil. Now thats what I call good service.
