change a dimmer back to a one way switch

Hi, I wanted to change my dimmer switch to a normal switch. I have bought a 1 gang 2 way switch. Currently, 2 wall lights are controlled by the dimmer switch. When I took the dimmer switch off the wall I noticed there were 3 red wires only - two connected into one hole and one wire in the other. I have put it back as not sure - does anyone have any ideas? Thanks

put the other swicth the same way as the dimmer is now

Look at the markings on the dimmer switch. Probably C, L1 and L2. Depends on the make. Use the same terminals on the new switch. You'll have a spare terminal not used.

Yes (and I mean this constructively, not to put you down) - before you do any more electrical work, stop thinking that somehow it'll be OK for you to do it without knowing anything about it, and take the trouble to do some learning first..
