Cheap GSM dialler?

well given that the smart com has a comip module effectively built into it and a comp ip is £100 and the smart com £70 ish I know what I would opt for.

you would set it up for the Texecom connect app and the old app if required side by side and it wouldn't be any worse than the comip on the old app and it be cheaper too.

the chip on the pcb is responsible for which networks you can use, but 3g and 4g compatible chips cost more money.

Sorry I meant Smart Com. The new one that works with latest App. Alarms Not my area of expertise so COMIP stuck better then smart com.

Yes I noticed the G510 they are using in the second one. This is closer to my area of expertise.

Actually there’s not a huge difference in cost between the newer baseband modules. Certainly not enough to account for the price difference.

It’s more to do with who’s making them. It will be the back street Chinese fabs, who work on very small margins. They aren’t going to redesign the PCB, switch off production, reprogram placement machines, risk issues with new parts/design, etc. They’ll just churn these out as is until buyers start tailing off and they are forced to update.
