No i'm sorry, i was meaning to be complimentary about the rest of your posts.
And yes i agree with what you're saying. It's like anything, if done in moderation, then it's fine.
But I reckon there are levels of gambling:
1- occasional/recreational (like you and me even, will buy a lottery ticket or a sweepstake ticket)
2- regular gambler (likely keeping spend under control)
3- addicted gambler (likely making a loss)
4- professional gambler (could be carp and losing, but could be making millions)
My original point didn't consider those who didn't mind losing (don't know many such people), or pros that make money out of it, but i was referring to the millions of people hooked on gambling and losing cash hand over fist to fund these huge companies.... that's why i call it a mug's game, because they do the maths, and the punters hand of the cash....
