No none of it is right but you need to move on, the original cowboys have ridden into the sunset. So get on the blower to the insurance company or get the hoover out, find another contractor to get on with the job or DIY it.

Yeah that is really bad. The tiles look like Ken Dodds teeth. I guess they fitted the rooflight as well, those tiny slithers of cut tile down the side are a joke.

But look on the bright side, even they were too embarrassed to take any money so you can pay someone else to rip it all off and start again.

As for the devastation in the living room. You'll laugh about it in 6 months (maybe not when you get the bill from the divorce lawyer).

We are still cleaning ..... I can't find a decent roofer in our area who wants it.

Edge Tiles are a joke I know but I'm not sure about getting on to the insurance company though, that will just drag it out and probably cause me a load of grief as they will persue these dicks.

Rediculous thing is that they have a great reputation !!! I did my homework before booking them, know people who've used them and all was fine.

What's wrong with the veluxs ?

They've taken the chimney down and battened across the hole, but they haven't managed to judge the height of the new battens to the original ones. The tiles are level over the old chimney, but have been badly matched in to where they join the original roof tiles. An adequate job at best, and lackadasical at worst.

Yes I agree ..... Anyone know a decent roofer wants a mornings work ? ?

Midland area

Sorry Fran, you'll need to keep looking I'm afraid. Get the wife some flowers, and hire a cleaner - well worth both.
