Chinese Takeaway

Usual is yeung chow fried rice and chicken in black bean sauce enough for two . £13.20 occasionally add dry spare ribs about £6.50 for 5 or 6

We usually order Chinese take-away for 3 and it's about £35 in the Glasgow area.

It's an effing joke, it's mostly warmed up supplies from the Chinese Co-op and they're charging £6-7 for a portion of ribs. Chinese food to me is the about the most generic takeaways around, it pretty much tastes exactly the same no matter where you get it from... there's like a baseline of quality and only certain takeaway joints fall below that level.

I always found a good indicator of whether they were any good was a portion of chips, if the most basic thing on the menu, the chips, are dry and re-heat 3 times, then what's the chances that can get anything else right?

But they're not alone, all those corner of the street curry/kebab places are pure junk too... I swear they have about 150 things on the menu and half of it you couldn't tell apart. Chip shops are extortionate... when the f*** did a fish supper start costing more than a tenner?

And while I'm on a rant, places like McDonalds and KFC are cheeky effers with their prices these days too... wasn't too long ago most of their "meal" options were around £5, now a chicken strip meal from KFC is running you about a tenner.

They're all taking the **** with their prices, I'm about done ordering any of that crap!!

Anyway, rant over ... actually, no it isn't... what about those Dominoes pizzas costing £20 for a bit of bread, tomato sauce and cheese, eh!! :ROFLMAO:

I don't much go for Chinese, prefer Indian, but now I buy curries from Iceland, best frozen ones I've tried. Did go out for a meal yesterday at a Spanish/French influenced place. 6 of us, cost me £320.
Had the Iceland house special curry the other night very tasty I thought ,not bad value for 3.50
