Research on that boiler would be a good starting point.
But I just fitted a gloworm 25i and was pretty impressed with its performance but only time will tell how good it is.

I would not fit one for myself if it was free of charge!!

WHATEVER you do, do not have ANY current Ideal boiler fitted, even if it was offered for free

If price is an important factor look at the Ravenheat or Broag, if not look at the Vaillant Ecotec Plus 400 series or 600 series.

Viessman Vitodens 100 heat only compact boiler 13/ 18 /24kw
German engineering at its best

Jeeves will always recommend a Worcester

Ideals do not have a good rep

The ideal classic is still about an is one of the most reliable boilers ever made.

KEEP AWAY from icos and isars though

You cant really buy a bad boiler nowdays, but you can fit them badly which will kill em. Its all down to what you want/need, how much space you have, where you want controls. All us RGI's have our favourites and hates due to previous experiances good or bad. Do some research and get a couple of quotes.

With decent parts and backup:

Glow Worm
Worcester-Bosch
Buderus
Vaillant

These are a class above the one above:
Viessmann
Atmos
