Hi,
My trusty workhorse circular saw has packed in. I've had it 20 years, and it has done lots of cutting for me. I doubt I'll be doing much machine sawing from now on.
It was cutting ok, then it stopped, and the fuse had gone. I changed the fuse and tried again, it turned a 1/4 turn and the fuse went again.
An ideas of what's gone wrong? Is it fixable?
Cheers, Camerart.

Did you notice heat and a burning smell?
If so then its the windings burn't out and is scrap.

Hi R and R,
I'll check the brushes tomorrow. I should be able to check the windings while I'm at it.
Thanks, C.
